This notice explains what personal information Stride Right Physiotherapy collects, why, and what your rights are.
Who we are
Stride Right Physiotherapy is an online physiotherapy service based in Cambridge, UK, and a trading name of Richard Eckermann. We are the data controller for the information you give us.

What we collect
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number and date of birth.
- Health information: your injury or condition, medical history, medications, symptoms, activity levels, goals and progress during your programme.
- Session information: notes from video calls and messages with your physio, and any videos of you running or exercising that you choose to send.
- Payment details: your plan, payment dates and amounts. Card details are handled by Stripe and we never see your full card number.
You must be 18 or over to use our services.
Why we use it and our legal basis

We never sell your information.
Who we share it with
We use trusted suppliers who process data only on our instructions:
- Physitrack (PhysiApp): hosts your exercise programme and messages with your physio.
- Microsoft Teams: for video calls. Calls are not recorded.
- Stripe: takes subscription payments.
- Mettle and FreeAgent: business banking and accounting records.
- Microsoft 365 and Netlify: email, your questionnaire (Microsoft Forms), and this website and its sign-up form.
Some suppliers, including our website host, store data in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK–US data bridge or other UK-approved safeguards.
We will only share your health information with anyone else, such as your GP, if you agree, or if we believe there is a serious risk to you or someone else, or the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Clinical records: 8 years after your last session, in line with professional guidance for physiotherapists.
- Financial records: at least 5 years after the Self Assessment deadline for the tax year they relate to, as HMRC requires.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- get a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- ask us to delete your information, though we may need to keep clinical and financial records for the periods above
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to us using it
- receive your information in a format you can give to another provider
- withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time

Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
